Emailing the invoice from the site/app, or better link to the invoice, that the customer will get and click, setting a flag against that invoice that the customer has seen the invoice would be better.
I currently save the invoice as a PDF, then email the customer, attached the invoice, and then send it ( All from an iPad ).
I have had instances lately where a couple of customers have said they didn't get the email, and hence have not paid the bill, but if I had a notice saying when it was sent/emailed from the app, and IF the link was clicked, that would be great.
Even a list of the number of times and dates the link was clicked if they click it more than once.
