Do the job again, re-schedule, regular service work tip

Some customers like to put new jobs in after jobs are done to remind them to do service work. For example, if a service job is annual a new job would be entered to ensure that job gets done in a year's time.

Here is how it's done...

  1. After a job is done (that needs to be done again) the tradesman or admin create a new job for the property / customer
  2. In the order number on the new job they put the next date to do the job as a code. Eg. May12
  3. Each month, someone searches the jobs list for all "May12" and all the service work shows up. From there customers can be called and times arranged along with the order number being changed to reflect the work

Tips...

*You can have more than just May12 in the order number - that is just the key word you are searching for.

*Using work types can also be helpful. This way you could search the jobs list for "May12" showing only "Servicing" work.

*In terms of the person to schedule in, you can either leave it with the guy who is entering the job, or they can choose 'office' or similar so they are all under one user. If the worker sticks to an area then they can assign to themselves. If staff are all over the place then you can assign to a main user who can then dish them out at the time.
